Latest pictures of woman adventurer Roz Savage nearing Madang

By SIR PETER BARTER

These are a few pictures taken from helicopter afternoon 40 miles out to sea approaching Madang.

We dropped a bucket of beer, fruit, sandwiches newspapers, various emails exhanged and a map of Madang showing her where she will be escorted to the Marina

Higher res pictures were sent to media this afternoon.

Roz looks very excited; we spoke on the radio and is looking forward to her arrival in Madang.

  4. Hi Malum,

I'll be heading out in Faded Glory in about an hour to find her. Her mother has asked me to get photographs for her. I'll be putting posts up on Madang - Ples Bilong Mi later today or this evening, according to how long the winds delay her.

This is a great day for PNG and especially for Madang. I am very excited to be a part of it. It truly is the land of surprises, isn't it?

  5. Malum, I just came back from a little cruise out to see Roz. She is quite an amazing person. She reminded me of someone who is out for a little row on the pond on a Sunday afternoon. As Sir Peter, who is generously handling all of the arrangements for her stay here has announced, Roz told me that she will be arriving in the morning. I'll be out there to take shots of her in front of the iconic Madang Coastwatchers Monument.

Madang is in for a treat!
