Wattle bark

From PAUL OATES in Queensland, Australia

Australia's National floral emblem is the Golden Wattle (top picture) ,  however,  I think the Cootamundra Wattle (second picture)  is spectacular. Wattle trees flower in winter and it's heavy 'nutty' perfume fills the air.

BTW - Does anyone know how you spell Wattle bark in three letters?

  1. Hmm...I like a good challenge but am getting no where with your "wattle bark in three letters" question. I had fun looking, however. WHC=Wattle Hill College. WEB=Wattle Eye Banded. WAD=Wattle and Daub. WBCA=Wattle Bark Control Act. Whew. I learned more about "wattles" than I ever thought I even needed to know! :-)

  2. I'll have to get my good friend Paul Oates in Queens;and, Australia, to provide the answer. I'm equally as bewildered as you!

    Regards from Papua New Guinea!
